Tradtime
Tin whistle lessons begin for Cloverfield NS during the first term of Junior Infants and continue through all classes in the school. All teachers ensure that children have frequent practice and all children are encouraged to play at home. The "tradtime" resources are used in school. In addition, an after-school class is held once a week for pupils who would like to further develop their playing skills and the children enjoy playing in the "grúpa ceoil". They look forward to the weekly visit of Josephine who is one of the Tradtime tutors. Because of the love of music instilled in the pupils from an early age, many of them go on to learn to play other instruments.
Our school has welcomed tradtime™ to provide an Irish music programme in our classrooms.
tradtime™ provides Irish music software and tutors to schools nationally, allowing us to provide an interactive and innovative music programme to our pupils. It includes a collection of tunes to suit Beginners to Advanced classes.
