Saints

Each child chose a saint which they would like to learn more about.
They researched the life of the saint and created a project based on what they found out.
The projects were fantastic and the children presented them very well.

Stained Glass Nativity Scenes!

We spoke a lot about Advent and the Nativity in the build up to Christmas.
The children created these lovely Nativity scenes,
using crepe paper and polly pockets to create a stained-glass window effect.

Sister Josephine Keane

We heard an example of how Sister Josephine Keane helped two children when no one else would.
As we can see in the picture, Sister Josephine dedicated her life to helping those who were less fortunate.

Our Rosary Journals

We learnt about the Mysteries of the Rosary. 
The Mysteries are grouped into four categories, with five Mysteries in each.

Joyful Mysteries:
The Annunciation.
The Visitation.
The Nativity.
The Presentation of the Lord.
Finding Jesus in the Temple.

Sorrowful Mysteries:
The Agony in the Garden.
The Scourging at the Pillar.
Jesus is Crowned with Thorns.
Jesus Carried the Cross.
The Crucifixion of our Lord.

Glorious Mysteries:
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Ascension of Jesus to Heaven.
The Descent of the Holy Spirit.
The Assumption of Mary into Heaven.
Mary is Crowned as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

Luminous Mysteries:
The Baptism in the Jordan.
The Wedding at Cana.
The Proclamation of the Kingdom.
The Transfiguration.
The Institution of the Eucharist.
