We started learning about the European Union.
Being a member of the E.U. has many benefits, mainly being able to travel to other E.U. countries easily.
There are 28 countries in the E.U. but not all of the European countries have joined the E.U. yet.
The countries that have joined are:
1958: Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands.
1973: Ireland, United Kingdom, Denmark.
1981: Greece.
1986: Spain, Portugal.
1995: Austria, Finland, Sweden.
2004: Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia.
2007: Bulgaria, Romania.
2013: Croatia.
