November was a very busy and exciting month!
We learned all about the post office by writing letters and postcards, making post boxes and reading 'The Jolly Postman'. We also got to work in our own post office! One of the most exciting parts of the post office was when we got to write letters to our parents and post them! We were very excited for them to arrive!
We celebrated Science Week from the 12th to the 19th November. We had great fun doing a new experiment everyday! We got to see chromatography on Monday using markers and water. On Tuesday we saw what different substances did to gummy bears. We found out how to make an egg float on Wednesday. Thursday was one of our favourite experiments! We got to use 'magic milk'! Finally, on Friday we made a lava lamp using oil, water, food dye and a vitamin C tablet. We loved Science Week!
We also learned all about light this month. We were learning all about day and night as well as learning about nocturnal animals. We read the story 'Mrs Lather's Laundry' and saw how difficult life was before electricity. We studied how electricity works by lighting our own light bulbs!
Our artwork was based on our science lessons in November. We recreated the famous painting 'Starry Night' and also painted barn owls after reading the story, 'Owl Babies'.
We also studied data in maths. We asked different questions and voted for our favourite answers.
