Oíche Shamhna

In the run up to Halloween we have been learning lots of Halloween themed words and phrases! We have also loved singing our Oíche Shamhna song everyday!

Cluichí

In our classroom we play lots of games to practise our Irish words and phrases. We play games such as bingo, snakes and ladders, and matching games based on our words of the week. We also enjoy testing each other in pairs using our flashcards and sequencing our Bua na Cainte stories.

Uimhreacha

We have been practising our numbers from 1 to 10 and learning our numbers from 11 to 20. We enjoyed playing our 'Splat the House' game where Múinteoir Caoimhe called out 'Tá mé i mó chónaí i teach uimhir a _________' and we put our star pointer on the correct house. 

An Nuacht

At the end of our 'Mé Féin' topic, we wrote a news piece based on ourselves. We then pretended to be news presenters and presented our news to the class from the 'Rang 1 and Rang 2 Nuacht' studio. We enjoyed the chance to work as the news presenters and we thing you could be spotting us on RTE in the future!
