The Euros in Cloverfield N.S., June 2016
Active Schools Week was held in early April and children enjoyed skipping, golf, tennis, tag rugby, spikeball as well as continuing their co-operative games, morning walks, etc…..

This year saw Cloverfield NS become involved in both the Active Schools and Health Promoting Schools programmes, both of which have helped to greater develop the children’s awareness of the importance of activity, exercise and healthy eating in their lives. A number of initiatives were introduced with the support of all staff members and parents and we are grateful to teaching staff for willingly co-ordinating these programmes.
The awarding of both the Health Promoting Schools Flag and the Active Schools Flag to Cloverfield NS in recent weeks is a source of great pride to us. The fruits of the work of committees, pupils, teachers and other staff members has been rewarded and is well deserved. Thanks to Mr Power who willingly co-ordinated the Active Schools Programme and to Mrs Quinlivan & Ms Morris who co-ordinated the HPS programme. Thanks to all pupils who worked on both committees and to parents Ellen, Fiona and Sheila who volunteered to be members of the HPS committee which was guided by Mairead Kelly of the HSE
